Scene & Heard: New Paltz, NY
Crown & Anchor DJs Bloom and Rodan seized our attention with their Watchtower Wobble event series, taglined "exploring electronic bass music in New Paltz", their small town located an hour north of NYC. Inviting innovative artists from the city to expand and experience their local music scene, Crown & Anchor have lured upstate the likes of Michna, Dave Q, Star Eyes, Sub Swara, Mite, and Secret Agent Gel, with plenty more names in the pipeline for the future. This Friday, the crew will be bringing in NYC sub-bass purveyors FaltyDL [Planet Mu] and Incyde [DubWarNYC] to perform for throngs of bass devotees packed into Cabaloosa's. Be sure to keep an eye out on their MySpace for upcoming events and NYC, don't miss your chance to see the crew in your own backyard on Valentine's Day at Don Hill's. Because nothing warms the cockles of our hearts more than some ribcage rattling bassweight.
