This Saturday night Reconstrvct returns to dutty Bushwick, Brooklyn for another 9-hour marathon session featuring some of the biggest names in low-end from around the globe.  If you've been looking for a no-frills party where sound is always paramount, look no further.  Now in it's 8th installment, Reconstrvct always delivers; a place where like-minded individuals from all over the country can converge and immerse themselves in music of the highest quality.




Last month's 1-year anniversary seemed to resonate on a Worldwide scale, with the UK's FatKidOnFire featuring a recap written and photographed by Reconstrvct regulars Pete & Bridget.  You can check out their on-point synopsis of what went down HERE in case you were unable to reach.

This month's lineup is set to usher in the NYC debuts of Japan's Goth-Trad (performing LIVE), Argentina's Daleduro, as well as up-and-comers Thelem & Killawatt in from the UK.  Tickets can still be purchased HERE thru Resident Advisor and will be 35$ on the door.

Goth-Trad



Goth-Trad, rooted in the Far East, is one of those rare producers who consistently delivers timeless tunes, time and time again, regardless of the year.  He’s got both quality and quantity when it comes to his original productions and his reputable live set is something to be experienced, simply put and enough said.  Admittedly, I typically skim artist bios but his I’ve read word-for-word multiple times and it goes deep.  Goth-Trad was slotted to play Reconstrvct in the past but due to visa issues was unable to make the trek.  This time around, the sailing went smoother and we will be treated to Goth’s highly-anticipated first live set in NYC, right here in our home state.

Goth-Trad - Back to Chill

This track, “Back To Chill,” inspired the name and the movement behind Japan’s first monthly dubstep night, which was started by the one-man army himself (as Kode 9 nicknamed him) back in 2006.  The track saw a vinyl release two years later on the UK label Skud Beats.  The BTC crew will be celebrating their six-year anniversary this coming September.

This one is also an example (like many) that will sound immensely different on a system than it does through earbuds.  Invest.

As if that wasn't enough, this weekend also marks the penultimate Reggae Sound System beach party down on Coney Island courtesy of Sound Liberation Front.  Work off that Reconstrvct hangover by heading to the boardwalk and soaking in some rays and irie vibrations on Sunday from 12-9pm.  Riddims abound!!!
