Philadelphia's Starkey back again with his latest release, a continuous DJ mix entitled 'Starkbass' on LoDubs records. Whether it be through his appearance on Generation Bass with Mary Anne Hobbes, his highly acclaimed 2008 debut album 'Ephemeral Exhibits' on PlanetMu, his Seclusiasis Radio show on Sub.fm, or on one of his recent globetrotting tours, Starkey is a name on the tip of the tongue throughout the world of bass. His sound stays true to Philly's club roots while at the same time incorporating sounds and textures not oftenly associated with club music and hip hop in general.

His latest release 'Starkbass' takes you through his approach as a DJ with it's hard, jolting mixes, frenetic basslines, and crushing 8-bit arpeggios that will break your neck if you're not careful. Mix features huge tunes from fellow Seclusiasis label-mates dev79 and BD1982, some mashers from Lo Dubs associates Pacheko, Cardopusher, and XI, Hyperdub lovin' from Zomby and Joker as well as some new unreleased tracks from Starkey himself.
