Born Beni Uthman, 21-year old London born producer Benga is already a seasoned veteran in the electronic music scene. He has played at the biggest summer festivals throughout Europe, a full U.S. tour with Hatcha this past fall, and is also responsible for one of the year's best Essential Mixes, helping to bring Dubstep music and culture to the forefront. Drawn to the music of garage and two-step at a young age, Benga began honing his DJ and production talents while spending his free time at the famous Big Apple Records store in Croydon, where DJ Hatcha was working as a clerk at the time. Initially skeptical of the youngster always hanging around the shop, Hatcha soon gave Benga his first real break and helped him release his first 12" "Skank" on Big Apple Records in 2002. After putting out his debut CD 'Newstep' on his own Benga Beats label in 2006, Benga's follow-up 'Diary of An Afro Warrior' has gained acclaim from DJs and music critics alike throughout the globe. 'Diary' shows his progression, variation, and maturation as a producer and features his hit single with Coki "Night" that has generated a huge mainstream buzz in the electronic music world.

This featured festival set from May 3rd, gives insight to his live performance and attests to the innate mixing skills that initially caught Hatcha's attention. Featuring the sub-bass anthems 'Bassface' by Benga & Walsh, 'Midnight Request Line' and 'It's Not Over Yet' from Croydon pal Skream, as well as new cuts from Benga and the Bug; this isn't one to miss.
