Ghislain Poirier, one of the many producers part of Montreal's vibrant electronic music scene at the moment, embodies everything that this blog is about. His Ninja Tune album 'No Ground Under' remains one of my favorites from this past year with electro-dancehall crossover highlights such as "Dem Na Like Me", "Blazin'", and "No More Blood". Poirier blends Dancehall vocals, Electro synth lines, French Hip Hop, and Soca ridddims; seamlessly creating an ultimate dance party vibe that doesn't slack on the low frequency ranges.
