This week we're dropping '813', a mix bridging dubstep, grime, and house from Seclusiasis label foot-soldier, Sonkin. A recent transplant to Brooklyn, Sonkin has been playing out shows across the country preaching the gospel of Philly Street Bass music. His cloudcast features tunes from fellow crew-mates Starkey, dev79, BD1982 and SiYoung, as well as some of the biggest releases of the year from Hyperdub and Planet Mu. Having already released the track "Compton, Saturn" (a collaboration with fellow Philly producer, Rx) on Charlie P's ALR label earlier this year, Sonkin continues to forge his own unique take on the all encompassing "Bass."

Philadelphia's dev79 with a brand spankin new release showcasing the streetbass sounds of Seclusiasis, a Philly-based label who have also recently featured releases from Kotchy, BD1982, as well as Starkey and dev79's highly acclaimed mixtape series 'Streetbass Anthems.' You'll find dev79 tearing up dancefloors across the US sharing bills with the likes of Girl Talk, Drop the Lime, Plastician, Starkey, and the Digital Mystikz among others.

'In Ya Face' is a defining track of that streetbass sound; ghettotech tastefully infused with hip hop and club music with some undeniably catchy hooks and drum patterns that you can't help but flex to. Edu K's remix brings his jackin' house style to the tune transforming it into an electro heavy house banger complete with distorted synth stabs and trill vocal samples. The Pharoah and Peaches remix brings a different approach with some heavy reverb along with that dubstep swing, off-beat piano chord skank, and a bass heavy groove that you just can't help but love. Watch out for that synth line, because it will be stuck in your head for days. Egyptrixx's remix brings some heavy 4x4 bassline action into the fray, accentuating a hammering drum beat that is sure to get crowds in the clubs off their heads. "hii everyone,

i just wanted to apologize for last night's radio show, and reassure you that i am doing fine. if you weren't listening in live last night, here's a quick recap of what happened. approximately a half hour or so into my show, MOVES!!! busted in with some Evilbots and took over the Starkville station. There was a lot of damage done to the studio. I was tied up and taken out of the building. Shortly after that I was able to escape, the Evilbots are not very smart and easily tricked. But it was too late to get back to the studio.

From what I'm told, Dev79 showed up a short time after and was obviously surprised to see MOVES!!! at the station and not me.

I'm not sure why MOVES!!! was using the Evilbots to take over the station. If he wanted to guest on the show, he should have just told me. As many of you know, there has been turmoil in Starkville for a while now. What I can't understand is why the Evilbots didn't attack me, and why they were taking orders from MOVES!!! in the first place?

As Mayor of Starkville, I apologize once again for last night's situation on the Seclusiasis Radio show on SubFM. I have since spoken with Dev79, and he is appalled by MOVES!!!' conduct. I tried getting in touch with MOVES!!! today, but he is not returning my calls. I really hope we can get to the bottom of this soon.
