If there was ever going to be a dubstep artist to recommend to that friend we all have and love that lives for doom and drone metal, look no further than DJ Distance. Not likely to convert the average Sunn O))) or Earth fan, Distance has still found a way to incorporate at times thrashing, feedback heavy, droney guitar riffs and an aggressive approach to a usually passive genre of music.

Starting the mix off in proper form to his RinseFM radio shows, Distance first plays out up and coming talent from producers around the globe that have sent in their tracks. After the first hour, he makes the transition to his own unreleased and unheard material that has me ecstatic about the prospect of a new album in the near future. Standout tracks are Distance's own 'Concrete', 'Buss' (complete with Daft Punk samples), Pinch- One Blood, One Source (Distance remix), as well as two tracks featuring Distance on guitar nearing the end of the mix.
